Young Faces, Strong Fight: Cowra Against Prostate Cancer
Prostate cancer is often misunderstood as an "old man's disease," but the reality is that it affects men of all ages - including many of our local farmers and young men here in Cowra. Early detection is crucial, and too many symptoms are dismissed as "just getting older."
This disease has deeply impacted our family. We've lost loved ones to prostate cancer, and currently have close family members battling it in every decade from their 40s to their 80s. We've learned that for younger men, prostate cancer can be a particularly aggressive beast - there's no such thing as a "good cancer" when it affects someone you love.
That's why this Men's Health Week, I'm making every step count for the young men of Cowra - our farmers, our friends, our family members who deserve to live long, healthy lives.
