I’m making strides in the fight to save lives.
Prostate cancer is Australia’s most commonly diagnosed cancer. 1 in 5 men are likely to be diagnosed by 85. I am one of those "1" right now.
I’m in the fight.... with help from Janet, my prostate nurse (funded by the Prostate Cancer Foundation), the specialists, doctors and nurses, and lots of others along the way. For all their help... I say to them you are deeply appreciated. Â
But this effort is about funding research so that those chaps following might avoid this shit-show. I didn't ask for it and neither should they have to fight it. Research matters.
My walk with Mani (the "black dog") on June 14 is only 22km so nothing heroic!! Not at all. A 22 km walk from Perlubie Beach to Pioneers Park in Streaky Bay.  A walking half marathon along a sparse nothing with a dicky knee and a reluctant dog…perfect.Â
So, this Men’s Health Week, I’m making every step count.
If you want, please donate just a little today and help fund new research to detect and defeat prostate cancer.
If not, all good...this is not a fundraising competition but perhaps take a moment to appreciate the champs that are helping me and all the others get through this.Â
Cheers
David
Thought I’d wait until I could push you over your target! Don’t go too hard, big footy weekend after that
