Men’s Health Week.

I’m making strides in the fight to save lives.

Prostate cancer is Australia’s most commonly diagnosed cancer. 1 in 5 men are likely to be diagnosed by 85.

That’s why, this Men’s Health Week, I’m making every step count.

Will you donate today and help fund new research to detect and defeat prostate cancer?

My Updates

Dave’s updated story

Friday 15th May

It’s been a bit over 3 years since I was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer which had spread to my pelvic bones and spine.

The first year after diagnosis was full on with radiation to the affected bones and 6 rounds of Chemo.

Ongoing hormone therapy and supporting medication kept my PSA at an acceptable level for 2 years and I was grateful for that time.

Last year I underwent radiation to my prostate and ribs. I’ve just finished 5 months of Chemo and I’m about to commence radiation to my hips, spine, ribs and neck.

The side effects of hormone therapy, radiation and chemotherapy are both physically and mentally challenging and I don’t want to see other blokes having to go through this.
