Prostate cancer is Australia’s most commonly diagnosed cancer. 1 in 5 men are likely to be diagnosed by 85.
It's been over six years since I was first diagnosed with locally advanced prostate cancer. I had to endure many investigations and 40 rounds of radiotherapy during peak COVID times, which was tough.
Had a couple of years being managed without hormone therapy but just over a year ago things changed and my PSA suddenly shot up. The past year has been hard, managing tiredness, fatigue and brain fog along with juggling ADT therapies as part of my palliative pathway. Fortunately my PSA has responded again and for the second year i am doing the walk for him fundraiser.
That’s why, this Men’s Health Week, I’m making every step count.
