Supporting Those Affected by Prostate Cancer
My grandfather Maxwell was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I saw firsthand the impact it can have on both individuals and the people who love them. Despite the challenges he faced, Pop remained the kind, strong, generous and funny man we all knew and adored. He continued to bring smiles to those around him and I feel incredibly fortunate to be his granddaughter.
Pop lived a remarkable 95 years, sadly the complications due to prostate cancer eventually led to his passing. The memories, lessons and love he gave will stay with me for the rest of my life.
I want to take part in this walk in honour of Pop, and in support of everyone whose lives have been touched by prostate cancer. By raising funds for research and support services, I hope to help create a future where more families can spend precious time with their loved ones.
