What is Walk for Him?
Walk for Him is a fundraising event for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA). It has been organised to raise money for much-needed research and support programs for Aussie men, and all those impacted by a prostate cancer diagnosis.
Walk for Him takes place every day of Men’s Health Week 2022, June 13-19. Participants commit to completing 49,000 steps during this period for the 49 Aussie men who are diagnosed with prostate cancer each day. This challenge can be completed as either individuals or teams.
Who can take part?
Everyone! It's a challenge that you can do anywhere.
Whether you're an individual, a workplace, a team, or a bunch of mates keen to save lives - you can take part. When you sign up to Walk for Him, we'll help you to kick off your fundraising and start planning.
As the week approaches, you’ll receive more tips and support to help you raise awareness and funds for the men you love.
And together, we’ll help expand research, treatment, and support for Aussie men and their loved ones affected by prostate cancer.
How much does it cost to register?
Nothing. It’s free to sign up!
How does it work?
Once you sign up, you’ll receive a fundraising page and access to Walk for Him resources. You can step it out at your own pace each day during Men’s Health Week, and spread the word to your friends and family. Fundraising is open from the time you join, so you can step to it right away.
From the moment you sign up, we’ll be there with tips and support to help you.

I've shared my page on Facebook asking for donations using the Facebook Donate button. Will the money I raise come to PCFA?
Yes. However, we recommend you don’t use the Facebook Donate button to raise money for the Walk for Him, as we can’t link any donations back to your fundraising page.
If you’ve already set up a post, we suggest that you:
1. Delete the post, as this is the only way to remove the Facebook Donate button; and
2. Create a new Facebook post and share the link to your fundraising page without adding the ‘Donate’ button.
Why aren't the donations I'm receiving through Facebook showing up on my fundraising page?
Facebook donations are handled and held by a third party, so we can’t link them to your Walk for Him fundraising page. Given these limitations, we recommend you don’t use the Facebook Donate button to fundraise.
If you’d like your Facebook friends and followers to donate to Walk for Him, we encourage you to share the link to your fundraising page on your social media pages instead.
